| Description | Students will learn and practice a variety of techniques relating to popular song writing. Creativity will be nurtured in the areas of lyric, melody, and chord writing. Students will be taught how to be innovative and original while also adhering to established conventions, and they will be encouraged to incorporate world and indigenous music elements into their compositions. Students will be able to apply material learned in this course to all other courses relating to music creation. |
