Description | Building on image development, rendering and ideation skills learned in previous classes, students explore various techniques of contemporary illustration. Through completing a series of illustrations, students will get the opportunity to develop a personal style, or explore a variety of different styles. Students apply all stages of design process from initial sketches to presentation. They are encouraged to produce work in both traditional and digital media and develop multidisciplinary problem solving. Students learn to analyze illustration in social/ cultural context. Course content is delivered through lectures, assignments, discussions and critiques. This course includes visual, verbal and written components |
