Description | This is the fourth course in the CIFP’s Certified Financial Planner™ program. The course provides a detailed look at the investment products that individuals use to achieve their wealth accumulation objectives. It also presents the framework of strategic investment planning, which provides the personal financial planner with a method to design or evaluate a client’s investment portfolio. Topics include an introduction to strategic investment planning, guaranteed, interest-producing products, bonds and debentures, common and preferred shares, fundamental and technical analysis, financial derivatives, mutual funds, tax-advantaged investing and tax shelters., investment theory and a case study in strategic investment planning. Prerequisite: CEFN-901 or permission of program supervisor. (Includes exam. Course-mandated financial calculator and course material excluded. Course material is available at the bookstore). |
