Description

This course prepares learners for academic and professional success as an Addiction and Mental Health Worker. Learners will explore the resources available in the college to support their success as a learner in a post-secondary environment. Learners will define their personal learning styles and develop a learner success plan. This course will also teach digital literacy skills, writing, documentation and communication skills required for learner and professional success. Learners will also gain knowledge of the policies, procedures and practices of the program through reading and discussing the Addiction and Mental Health Worker Learner Handbook and Field Placement Manual. The courses will also support learners to learn about the professional and academic competencies required for Field Placement and to work as an Addiction and Mental Health Worker.
