| Description | This course covers the rules and regulations pertaining to consumption and retail sales tax in Canada. The main topic is the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and where applicable Harmonized Sales Tax (HST). An introduction of Provincial sales tax (PST) or Retail Sales Tax (RST) in Ontario is also covered. You will learn the responsibilities and requirements of business entities for calculating tax payable, filing the required tax returns and remitting the tax collected to the proper authorities. You will also learn the differences between taxable sales and services and tax-exempt activities
