Taxation 2

Course CodeACCT-336
Lecture hours per week2
Lab hours per week2
Course AvailabilityOpen
Description

This course is the second taxation course offered to students enrolled in accounting programs of the School of Business. The course focuses on compliance with the requirements of the Income Tax Act for Canadian resident corporations. Specific emphasis is placed on the tax planning decisions to be made by the owner/manager of a Canadian controlled private corporation.

Because of the volume and complexity of information contained in the Canadian Income Tax Law, not all topics can be covered in the same depth in a one semester course. Students may require differing levels of competence in the topics included within the general subject headings shown in the Topical Outline. An explanation of the differing skill levels follows.
