| Description | Through this capstone project, students will showcase the skill sets learned in the Computer Systems Technologist – Networking program. This course is related to CNET-307 (Fundamentals of Project Management) and CNET-301 (Network Design & Test), where students plan and prepare for the Technologist Project through research, analysis, planning, costing, scheduling, and problem solving during implementation. Students will design a project that fulfills the specifications required to meet technical and business objectives. They work in teams to manage various aspects of the project and maintain clear and accurate project-related documentation that adheres to industry standards. During the planning and design process, students engage in implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting activities, using a systematic approach and diagnostic tools to solve problems. At the end of the course, each team must submit a written final report that is clear, concise, and free of grammatical errors. Students will also review the network design in detail, perform technical demonstrations of the project, and deliver an oral presentation highlighting the business, operational, and high-level technical aspects of the proposed solution in support of the final technical project report. |
