| Description | MATH-170
This is a course covering intermediate topics in algebra and trigonometry. It is intended for students in the General Arts and Science, Automation & Robotics, Electronics, and Mechanical Engineering Technician and Technology programs. Students registered in these programs must have, at or prior to program entry, demonstrated achievement of the prerequisite mathematical skills based on an assessment of their Engineering Mathematics pre-test results. The course is also available to students who have successfully completed MATH-140, Technology Mathematics 1, or have attained B+ or better in GS-191.
MATH-151
This is a course covering basic and intermediate topics in algebra and trigonometry. It is intended for those students in the Automation and Robotics, Electronics and Mechanical Engineering Technician and Technology programs who, at the program entry level, have not achieved the courses learning outcomes based on an assessment of their mathematics pretest results. The applications of mathematical concepts and methods of solving a variety of typical scientific and technical problems will be emphasized. |
