| Description | This comprehensive package of workshops is being presented by Centennial College through Ventures in Harmony. Krieger-style therapeutic touch approach is used. Although workshops are attended by a diverse group, most participants come from the health care field. Therapeutic touch is a non-invasive, gentle art of stimulating and supporting the healing process. It has a clinical and research base and is currently taught in universities, colleges and health care facilities throughout the world. It can help pain, nausea, migraines, asthma, fractures and wound healing, anxiety, agitation, confusion and many other conditions.
All workshops use a wide variety of teaching methods, including videos, overhead transparencies, audiotapes, experiential exercises, supervised practical experience (where applicable), small group interactions, open discussions, written questionnaires and lectures.
