Description

This course examines the general principles of tort and contract law. During the first half of the course, learners in addition to being introduced to intentional torts,applicable defenses and remedies will examine various aspects of negligence.

The second half of the course highlights the essentials of contract law. Participants determine what is necessary for the formation of a valid contract and what various defects and situations will void an agreement. Learners review the available options that parties have for breach of contractual obligations,as well as study the role of the courts in interpreting the party’s intentions and their position in awarding damages.
