Description:

This course is design for student to gain an extensive knowledge in the purpose and fundamental of shielded metal arc (SMAW) and Metal Inert Gas (MIG) Welding. Students will learn about the purpose and fundamentals of (SMAW) and (MIG) welding process. Students will practice hands on training on how to set up and use these types of welding equipments. Students will be taught different types of welding technique using the metal arc and MIG welding equipment. Students will be able to practice these techniques in our state of the art welding facility. Students will perform shielded metal arc (SMAW) and Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding procedures following manufacturers’ recommendations, government regulations, and safe work practices.
