| Description | This course is intended to provide the student with an advanced knowledge of the operation, diagnosis and repair procedures of automatic transmissions and transaxles. It is designed to give both theoretical and practical instruction on several common automatics. Emphasis will be placed on planetary gear train powerflows, hydraulic and electronic controls, diagnosis and repair procedures. Methods for instruction include classroom lectures, discussions and practical work assignments (lab is set up in groups). |
