Transportation Systems and Logistics Processes

Description

Offered in conjunction with the Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation (C.I.T.T.)a logistics certifying body, this is a practical course in logistics that teaches students how to operate within both the domestic and international logistics environments. They will be able to import, export, ship and receive goods by calculating freight rates, completing shipping documents, comparing and selecting service providers, issuing damage claims, tracking shipments, purchasing insurance protection, preparing loads and tracking shipments. Students will apply various techniques such as back-haul, capacity planning, break even analysis, consolidation and carrier evaluation to increase service and reduce costs within their work environment. 
Successful completion of this course is a necessary step in qualifying for logistics certification and earning the designation CCLP through the C.I.T.T.
