| Description | This project course will focus on both fixed wing and rotary wing UAV design and build. In groups, students will be tasked with designing, building, and testing a fully functional fixed or rotary wing UAV that must perform a specified set of tasks. Students will utilize the latest industry standard 3D modelling software to create a virtual assembly and shop drawings prior to completing the project build. This course will focus on material selection, electronics and control, and auxiliary UAV service functions. UAV components will largely be manufactured in house according to each design, utilizing CNC and 3D printing, and composite fabrication |
