Description | This course guides student through the variety of components and standards of today's telecommunication networks, transporting voice, images, video and data to any location in the world, from traditional voice telephony to the Modern networks. Groups of students will debate current telecommunication trends and predictions. Students will plan and design telecommunications system. Modern topologies and techniques will be learned. Students shall be able to perform telecommunications traffic calculations for adequate grade of service network performance. Broad band networks, ISDN, frame relay, ATM, SDH and SONET will be covered. Practical lab applications include: voice mail management, call centre practices and incorporation of wireless telecommunication devices into the telephone network. |
