This course will introduce students to the basics of writing copy for web-based platforms. Using a range of Web-appropriate styles including website copy, e-commerce product descriptions, Search Engine Optimization, blogging, and social media for business, students will build a professional portfolio to market their skills upon graduation. Students will gain an understanding of the key writing issues on the Web, as well as the ability to target content for different readers, while creating modularized content for sharing and reuse that is easy to maintain and revise.
