| Description | Web Interface Design is the first course in the web development sequence, introducing students to the foundational concepts and standards used to create modern web interfaces. Students design and publish responsive, accessible and well-structured web pages using HTML, CSS and current web design principles. Topics include semantic markup, visual layout, responsive design, accessibility, usability, file organization, web publishing, effective use of online resources, structured data concepts and the responsible use of AI-assisted development tools to support web page planning, HTML/CSS coding, accessibility checking, debugging, documentation and design refinement. By the end of the course, students will be able to create professional-quality web pages that follow accepted design, accessibility and coding standards. |
