Description

This course will introduce the concept of stress and stress management. It will provide skills for immediate application which will contribute towards a life-long program of stress management. The course reflects on current facts and principles that provide the basis for incorporating healthy lifestyle practices into one’s daily life.

Students will learn to recognize stressors and how they impact personal, societal health and workplace well-being. The elements of a balanced lifestyle will be explored through application of health behaviors such as active living, relaxation, healthy nutrition and sleep. Students will also learn how to manage time, pace and change. They will participate in reflection and awareness exercises, as well as behavior change planning
