Wine regions and wineries are now popular tourism destinations. The course will introduce students to an appreciation of wine and the techniques required to produce wines.  The effect of viticulture (the growing of grapes) and vinification (the making of wine) practices on the nature and quality of wines will be covered. Marketing and selling wine tours and education will be explored as students identify wine tourism opportunities locally and globally. Students will acquire an aptitude for tasting and grading wine at an introductory level.
