| Description | This course introduces students to different wireless technologies, including spread spectrum transmission, orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM), multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO), and radio frequency management. The course discusses the 802.11 MAC frame and analyzes different types of channel access methods in wireless networks. Wireless LAN (WLAN) management, architecture, and design concepts and requirements are covered in detail. The course introduces troubleshooting best practices and how to investigate Wi-Fi problems. Students will gain the knowledge required to install, configure, and troubleshoot wireless controller-based networks, wireless mesh networks, and quality of service implementation in wireless networks. Additionally, the course covers network security, intrusion detection systems, and intrusion prevention systems in wireless networks. |
