Public Health Units provide various health programs that are offered free of charge. To learn more or to find the Public Health Unit closest to you, visit the Ontario Public Health Unit locations webpage.
2. Access Alliance - Non-Insured Walk-in Clinic

3. FCJ Refugee Centre – Primary care for non-insured:
The FCJ Refugee Centre offers primary care to disenfranchised populations.
4. Community Health Centres
Community Health Centres (CHCs) are not-for-profit community-governed organizations that provide health and wellness services to populations who have traditionally faced barriers accessing health services, including:
- those living on low income
- new immigrants
- those with complex mental health issues
- individuals who do not have health insurance
The following links provide information about various sexual health clinics, including services offered, locations, hours, whether they require an appointment and/or accept walk-ins. You do not need a referral or OHIP to visit a sexual health clinic.

1. Ontario Midwives – uninsured clients
Midwives are funded to provide care to all residents of their catchment area, regardless of whether or not they have OHIP.

Healthy Smiles Ontario is a government-funded program that provides dental services for children or youth 17 years of age or under and from low-income households.

A government-funded program that provides routine dental services for low-income seniors 65 years of age or older.

Health and wellbeing supports for Aboriginal People in spirit, mind, emotion and body through both Traditional and Western healing approaches.

2. Non-insured health benefits for First Nations and Inuit (NIHB)
The Non-insured health benefits for First Nations and Inuit (NIHB) program provides eligible First Nations and Inuit people with a variety of health benefit coverage not covered through other programs.
Supports for people experiencing homelessness – services include:
- nursing
- mental health
- harm reduction
- identification (ID)
- supplies and referrals
- overdose prevention site
- service partnerships
