The Black Student Collective (BSC) is a student-led community space for Black students at Centennial College. We focus on connection, cultural celebration, advocacy, peer support, and building a strong sense of belonging on campus.
BSC is open to Black students from all backgrounds, cultures, and identities. Allies are welcome at select events and initiatives, depending on the space and purpose. You’re always encouraged to engage in ways that feel respectful and supportive.
No. There’s no single way to “be” Black. Whether you strongly identify, are exploring your identity, or simply looking for community, you’re welcome in our space.

Meetings are held bi-weekly and often center on different themes such as culture, wellness, leadership, academics, or lived experiences. There’s no pressure to speak or share, participation is always at your comfort level.
Yes. BSC hosts and collaborates on various campus events, including cultural celebrations, panels, workshops, networking events, creative spaces, and community-building activities.
Topics vary and may include identity, mental health, navigating school and careers, Black history and culture, community issues, and student experiences. Student input helps shape future discussions.
Yes. We welcome ideas from the community and encourage students to help shape the space. Your voice matters.
