Greetings everyone! I am. Arturo Valdez III, from the pearl of the orient seas, the Philippines. I am currently a financial service student at Centennial College – Progress. After completing my high school in the Philippines, I moved to Canada in 2023 to continue my education. I had experienced leadership roles in high school and joined impromptu speaking contests that catapulted my desire to embark my journey as a Toastmaster.
Fun fact
I enjoy reading and watching sci-fi and horror with the likes of H.P love craft, Stephen King, Tim Burton, and many more. It is because of my mom's influence that I got to enjoy horror movies at a young age. Another thing about me is that I enjoy the outdoors. I hike, cycle, and run which gives me the energy to enjoy nature.
What I hope to achieve with Centennial Toastmasters this year:
The role of the VP of Education is a vital one to ensure that all members have access to educational resources they need to progress in the program. I hope that I can work actively with members to set personalized goals for their speeches and level up in their chosen pathways.
I help members navigate the Pathways educational program by providing clarity on the different learning paths and encouraging them to complete their projects. But most importantly, I wish to meet new people from different backgrounds and continue to learn from this growing community of Centennial Toastmasters club.
