Scarborough – Birchmount Hospital, Scarborough General Hospital also has SA/DVCC help (Call 416 495 2555 to ensure a nurse is there.  Centenary will have services in 2020.)

If survivor arrives at any other hospital, they cannot access the SA/DVCC resources.  They only take cases that have happened within the last 30 days. If at a connected hospital, survivors will not need to go through the triage process – tell nurse that they have been assaulted and a qualified RN will be called on-site. Survivor is presented with options and they are in control.

Sexual Assault Evidence Kit can only be administered within 12 days of assault – the survivor has control of when to release it to authorities. (just because you do a kit does not mean it automatically gets released to the police)
