Janet Montague is a nursing practitioner, professor and researcher who is uplifting the strength and resilience of her chosen profession, creating a more equitable and inclusive nursing landscape and shaping the lives of countless people. After working as a clinical nurse specialist and case manager at several healthcare institutions, she embarked on a new journey as a nursing professor at Centennial College. Since 2021, Janet has been undertaking a PhD in nursing at Western University, where she is leading groundbreaking research exploring Black nursing students’ sense of belonging in nursing education through the lens of critical race theory and intersectionality.
