Tamar Huggins

Tamar Huggins is a multi-award-winning entrepreneur, author, and tech education trailblazer. Tamar created Canada's first tech accelerator for underrepresented founders, which shaped the Black and women-focused tech ecosystem in the country, and in 2022 she became the first woman to raise $1 million to build the first AI-powered ed-tech platform. Tamar was named one of the 100 Black Women to Watch in 2015 and was featured as one of 150 Black women making history by HERstory in Black and CBC. In 2024, she was named as one of Canada's most powerful people in the education sector by Maclean's magazine.
