Housing the School of Communications, Media, Arts and Design, it has everything you need to let your inner genius out. The campus is a meticulously restored, 104,000-square-foot modernist masterpiece that serves as a dramatic backdrop for students to learn and tell their stories.

Labs at the Story Arts Centre

  • 2D/3D Animation Labs

    A high-powered computer lab specifically for 2D/3D animation students. Here you’ll have access to the full Adobe suite, Maya 3D and more.

  • Journalism Lab

    Designed to look, feel and function like a real news room. It’s modelled after the Toronto Star News room, and even has the technologies used in the space.

Studios

  • Broadcasting Studio

    Used by multiple programs to shoot music videos, news reports, dance recordings, podcasts and more. Students have the ability to record an entire production. Includes an audio booth for sound mixing and recording, and a production space with six cameras for single-cam or multi-cam setups. Also has a lighting booth and various props, with an equipment rental area.
