GCE Co-curricular Events

Tell me and I’ll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I’ll understand. – Chinese Proverb

GCE Co-Curricular Initiatives are learning opportunities that link academic program content from the classroom with an applied experience.

Global citizenship and equity co-curricular events are developed in collaboration with each of our seven academic schools, actively empowering students to recognize and act on a sense of social responsibility regarding domestic and global social justice issues through on- and off-campus initiatives.

Students have the opportunity to participate in various initiatives that involve leadership roles. Recent initiatives include The Digital Revolution: Social Good Goes Viral, Half the Sky: Turning Women’s Oppression into Opportunity Fellowship Competition a social media campaign called “What’s Your Intent” with renown speaker and activist Malika Chopra, a Global Citizenship Health Forum, The Anatomy of Hate discussion forum, Jamaica for Sale tourism debate and a Corporate Social Responsibility Speaker Series.
