At Centennial College, we build lifelong relationships with students, graduates and the community. In fact, we’ve made community outreach part of our goals, strengthening the bonds made with employers, affiliates and learners.
The Community Outreach Office, established in 2009, provides outreach and engagement activities to promote access to post-secondary education for people who are typically under-represented in post-secondary education, with a current focus on youth from underserved neighbourhoods, Indigenous persons and women in non-traditional careers. Our outreach work focuses on developing the relationships with people and organizations to create bridges and support networks within post-secondary education. To do this, the office coordinates with organizations like:
- Neighbourhood Action Partnerships
- Local Youth Service Provider Networks
- Youth Challenge Fund Legacy initiatives
- The Community of Practice for Youth Educational Attainment
- The Toronto Council of Educators
- The Toronto Crown Ward Championship Team
