If it was not for the Helping Youth Pursue Education (HYPE) program and more specifically Tony Granato the Program Manager, I would not currently be enrolled in college or have knowledge of post-secondary education. HYPE allowed me to enter college not alone, but with new friendships created within the program. This made my experience less intimidating, and more comforting.

At the end of the six-week program, staff members in the HYPE program assisted me in my application and transition to Centennial College's Community and Justice Services program. I had a new confidence in myself, as I was proud that I had finally completed something for myself, and HYPE made it possible.

HYPE has made me feel welcome in the college community and helped me overcome many of the barriers that had prevented me from going to college. I truly believe it can help others do the same.

HYPE is a phenomenal program that empowers students by taking care of their basic needs such as food and transportation, but also provides tutelage with regards to their pursuit of post-secondary education.
