Governance

Centennial College places learning at the centre of everything we do. As the highest decision-making body at the College, the Board of Governors is an important partner in supporting environments that build the capacity and desire in all individuals to learn and to develop fully.

The Board operates subject to the conditions and restrictions contained in the Ontario Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology Act (2002) and other relevant pieces of legislation. It is composed of 14 appointed governors, 4 elected governors, and the President of the College in compliance with regulations. Governors are appointed through a formal process managed by the Board’s Executive Committee and through the Lieutenant Governor in Council. Four constituencies within the College elect governors – Academic, Administrative, Support Staff and Student in compliance with regulation and through a formal process set out in Board Bylaw 2014-1: Election Procedures for Elected Board Members.
