The Board will welcome two newly-elected governors for 2021-22.
Alexander Sale was elected Student Governor and Michelle Caine was elected Administrative Staff Governor in the spring, and they will begin their board terms on September 1, 2021.
Alexander is a proud member of the Centennial community and has participated in the College’s Leadership Passport. He has extensive experience in the tourism industry and brings strong management and finance skills to the Board.
Michelle has led the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts as Chair of Hospitality Management since 2014 and contributes actively to the College as a mentor and work-integrated learning champion and through involvement with the Anti-Black Racism Taskforce, Employee Leadership Passport, Academic Scheduling Working Group and CQAAP Working Group.
Academic Governor Elections are scheduled for the spring of 2022.
Ontario College boards are required under the Ontario Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology Act, Reg. 34/03, to include internally-elected members from four specific constituencies – Students, Support Staff, Administrative and Academic Employees.
