Ruth Uy was appointed Governor in 2026. She is a long-standing board member in energy, non-profit, social justice and public infrastructure. A professional engineer and safety executive with over 25 years of experience, she advocates for diversity in underrepresented fields through mentorship and speaking engagements. With her background in energy, the circular economy, and technology, she has built partnerships across industries to propel companies toward sustained process improvements. Recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women (2026), Canada’s Top Women in Safety (2025) and BMO Women on Boards (2024), Ruth champions women in STEM through sponsorship and board leadership. Ruth is a member of the Board’s Audit and Risk Management Committee.
