AI projects are being completed across our innovation priority areas of engagement:

- Advanced Manufacturing
Applications vary from manufacturing scheduling to product design to systems efficiencies enablement using AI tools. Centennial Innovates first started tracking AI projects in 2022 – when we completed 10 AI projects with partners. We continue to see increased industry interest in AI applications, and provide our students with valuable experience in AI enablement as student research interns while they are at Centennial College. Last year we provided over 600 research internship roles for student researchers.
Centennial College ranked #1 in 2025 for AI projects, having completed 35 projects involving AI – more AI projects than any other college in Canada – over the past 3 years (FY2022-24). In FY2025-26 alone, we worked on 31 projects (completed + ongoing) involving AI.
