Career Services and Co-operative Education, in partnership with the Black Student Collective and Ten Thousand Coffees, is proud to announce the launch of the Black Career Mentorship Network, beginning in the Fall 2026 semester.

This important initiative has been designed to support the career development and improve employment outcomes for Black students by creating meaningful connections with experienced professionals who can share guidance, insight, and lived experiences.

About the Program

The Black Career Mentorship Network will connect mentors with small groups of 3–4 mentees to engage in structured, meaningful discussions over the course of the semester. The program will be delivered through the Ten Thousand Coffees platform (supported by RBC Future Launch), which the college has successfully used for several years.

Mentorship will be supported by a guided curriculum, with sessions focused on key career development areas, including:

  • Goal setting and personal branding
  • Building relationships and expanding professional networks
  • Navigating imposter syndrome and self-doubt
  • Resume development and interview preparation

In addition to the structured sessions, mentees will benefit from ongoing access to networking opportunities and connections to professionals across the broader Ten Thousand Coffees network.
