All members of the Centennial College community are entitled to a safe and healthy environment, free from sexual violence and harassment. Students and employees now have access to trauma-informed and survivor-centred training online to support capacity for preventing and responding to sexual violence and sexual misconduct on campus.
The self-paced module explains the different forms of sexual violence and sexual misconduct, examines the impact of sexual violence on individuals and communities, and outlines procedures for disclosing and reporting incidents of sexual violence or sexual misconduct at the College.
The module also examines power dynamics, consent, cyber-sexual violence and rape culture to locate sexual violence and sexual misconduct within larger systems of power and oppression.
