Mariana Freitas is a Professor at Centennial College and the CEO and Co-Founder at SAM Technologies, with more than 15 years of industry experience working as an Executive for leading global industries, including Heineken and Samsung.

Mariana is a Blockchain and A.I. Alumni at Draper University (Silicon Valley), a Vital Voices Economic Empowerment Fellow (Global Accelerator for Women Entrepreneurs, Washington D.C) and an Academy for Women Entrepreneurs Alumni (U.S. Department of State). She is also a DWEN – Dell Women’s Entrepreneurs Network Chapter Leader and a co-author of a published book in Brazil.  

Mariana raised funds and built partnerships internationally with top-tier players, including the U.S. Embassy and Consulates, Dell Technologies and Microsoft. She has a proven track record as a results-driven professional who enjoys innovation, team collaboration, solving problems and generating impact. She is an expert in sales, marketing, and business development, with strong networking and leadership skills, building long-lasting relationships.

Mariana has an MBA in Sales and Marketing and studied Business Management post graduation. She is a Mentor at the City of Toronto Entrepreneurship Mentorship Program and a Startup Advisor. Mariana is also the WNORTH Toronto City Director and speaker advising on technology, entrepreneurship, and strategic networking.
