Artist Statement
‘Feeling Blue’
A melancholic moment of solitude. Every waking minute, we are exposed to an alarmingly large amount of media of all shapes and sizes, in all matter of forms. Usually we don't get to pick and choose every single thing we are subjected to. What advertisements we watch, what news stories run, or what emails need our immediate attention. There’s no telling what may pop up next. This level of unrelenting constant world connection can be overwhelming. The next time it is, stop. Take a moment to put your head down and do nothing. Listen only to quiet silence, let your eyes slip shut, and just breathe.
