Artist Statement

Not everyone lives a normal and perfect life. Those who are facing challenges with mental health think they’re happy. However, that is not the case. They struggle through the challenges. They get hurt along with those around them. However, they try every possible action to find a solution on how to save their life without hurting themselves.

My artwork represents the outlook of what mental health does to people. Each body of drawings are arranged through events and perspectives. Each situation of mental health is depicted through oil pastel, watercolour, markers, graphite pencils and pencil crayons. As these art materials create the four drawings, it represents my definition of mental health.
