Artist Statement
“As we all have our bad days, so did Dolores. Struck with sorrow, she melts away. She's empty. She is the shape of blue.”
The name Dolores means full of sorrows, she is an expression of the emotions we had witnessed in our creative communities. Our intention was to create awareness for internal struggles that budding artists are challenged with. We hope that our collaborative sculpture serves as a reminder for people to take notice of those around them that are struggling, especially creatives. Sometimes expressing belief in others is enough to bring them out of personal voids.
