End of Loan Program Notice
As we return to in-person learning and follow the roadmap to recovery, we are wrapping up the Device Loan Program that was implemented to help our students at the start of the pandemic.
With the conclusion of the Winter 2022 semester, the student Chromebook program will be coming to an end. Device loans will NOT be extended into subsequent semesters. All students who have borrowed Chromebooks from the College MUST return those Chromebooks to Progress Campus or opt to purchase the device at a cost of $300.
Failure to return or arrange purchase will result in the device being deemed sold. If no action is taken, a $300 charge will be added to your Centennial College account statement at the end of May. Should your account not be paid in a timely manner, further action (such as referral to a collection agency), may be taken to retrieve outstanding amounts.
A two-week window will be open Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from April 25 to May 6 at Progress Campus to accept returns.
Below are the instructions on how to return the Chromebook.
- Delete any personal information that you have saved on the Chromebook.
- Please bring the device to the IT Service Counter located on the 3rd Floor, Room B3-15, Progress Campus
- IT staff will be present to accept and verify your return.
For onsite returns outside of these hours, you can drop off a properly labelled device (Name, Date, Student Number) to Campus Security. Devices that are not properly labelled will not be accepted by Security.
If you wish to purchase the device in your possession, you may email deviceloan@centennialcollege.ca. Please arrange to return or purchase the device no later than May 6, 2022. If you have already returned the device, please disregard this notice.
Questions can be directed to deviceloan@centennialcollege.ca
