Centennial College is pleased to host its fourth annual trademarked event, Jill of all Trades™.

Jill of all Trades™ is an initiative to encourage girls from Grades 9-12 to consider a career in the skilled trades. Designed for young women, this day-long event is packed with activities and hands-on learning opportunities, fostering a better understanding and appreciation for skilled trades and inspiring them to consider skilled trades as a career option.

This event is a collaborative effort, with the Schools of Transportation (SOT) and Engineering Technology and Applied Science (SETAS), School College Work Initiative (SCWI), the Office of Development, Strategic Initiatives and External Relations (SIER), and the Community Outreach divisions all working together to bring this impactful day to life. The School of Transportation (SOT), School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science (SETAS), and Skills Ontario and UBC have planned the following workshops for the girls to participate in:

  • The School of Transportation (SOT) is running six workshops in Auto, Auto Body, Aviation, Heavy Duty Equipment, Motorcycle and Powersports, and Truck and Coach
  • The School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science (SETAS) is running two workshops in Electrician and Heating and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (HRAC)
  • Skills Ontario and UBC have sponsored a workshop in Carpentry

Attendees will also be treated to food, a candy station, step n’ repeat wall (selfie area), swag bags, and lots more!

Centennial’s Jill of all Trades™ event will certainly be a day the girls will never forget!
