Jill of all Trades™ is an initiative to encourage girls from Grades 9-12 to consider a career in the skilled trades. Designed for young women, this day-long event is packed with activities and hands-on learning opportunities, fostering a better understanding and appreciation for skilled trades and inspiring them to consider skilled trades as a career option.

This event is a collaborative effort, with the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Engineering Technology, Trades, and Transportation (ASENT³), School College Work Initiative (SCWI), the Office of Development, Government and Industry Relations, and the Community Outreach divisions all working together to bring this impactful day to life. The School of Transportation and The School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science, Skills Ontario, and Owens Corning have planned the following workshops for the girls to participate in:

  • The School of Transportation is running four workshops in Auto, Auto Body, Aviation, and Avionics.
  • The School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science is running three workshops in Aerospace Engineering, Electrician and Heating and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (HRAC).
  • Skills Ontario and Owens Corning have sponsored workshops.
