Centennial College is pleased to partner with Conestoga College on its trademarked event, Jill of all Trades™.
Jill of all Trades™ is an initiative to encourage girls from Grades 9-12 to consider a career in the skilled trades. Designed for young women, this day-long event is packed with activities and hands-on learning opportunities, fostering a better understanding and appreciation for skilled trades and inspiring them to consider skilled trades as a career option.
To kick off the day, our very own President and CEO, Craig Stephenson, will provide words of wisdom and encouragement, followed by keynote Michelle Chouinard-Kenney, President and CEO of Gibson Building Supplies. Attendees will also watch a brief motivational video from Jill of all Trades™ Champion and Ambassador, Mandy Rennehan. Mandy, the Blue Collar CEO™, is a speaker, author, multiple award-winning entrepreneur, philanthropist, HGTV host and trade industry ambassador.
We have also planned exciting workshops for the girls to participate in:
- The School of Transportation (SOT) is running six workshops in Auto, Auto Body, Aviation, Heavy Duty Equipment, Motorcycle and Powersports, and Truck and Coach
- The School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science (SETAS) is running two workshops in Electrician and Heating and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (HRAC).
- Workshop by the national sponsor of Jill of all Trades™, Owens Corning
Attendees will also be treated to food, a candy station, step n’ repeat wall (selfie area), swag bags, and lots more!
Centennial’s Jill of all Trades™ event will certainly be a day the girls will never forget!
