The Academic and Career Entrance (ACE) certificate program is a tuition-free academic upgrading undertaking that offers college and career preparation, helping you reach your academic goals through essential skills training.

You must complete four credits to receive your ACE certificate. These will include mandatory English and mathematics, along with biology, chemistry, self-management or digital literacy electives.

Program Highlights

Courses in ACE are 14 weeks in length.
The courses are facilitated in a supportive learning environment.
Thanks to small-sized classes, there are opportunities to interact with your fellow peers as well as encouraging and dedicated faculty.
Mentors will work closely with you to help you determine appropriate career and post-secondary goals.

The Government of Ontario funds this Employment Ontario program.

Employers are increasingly seeking candidates with both theoretical knowledge and practicalexperience. In the Liberal Arts to University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) program, combine thesequalifications by first exploring various subjects (communications, research methods, humanities,and social sciences) at Centennial and then transitioning to UTSC. This program is beneficial ifyou are interested in a UTSC Honours Bachelor of Arts degree; considering college programs inareas such as business administration, child studies and community services, hospitality andtourism, journalism, and media and design; or exploring educational and career opportunities. Feelholistically prepared for your next step to success.

Whether you want to successfully apply for a college program or confidently enter the workforce,English for Academic Purposes (EAP) gives you an advantage. It is designed to prepare you for collegeor university education, or for employment, by developing your academic study skills and improvingyour language skills. Following a placement test, enter one of three EAP levels. During each one-semesterlevel, participate in communicative language activities, group work, and presentations, andbenefit from access to Centennial resources and services. There are direct pathways from EAP Level3 to college communication courses.
