| Description | This course builds on students’ knowledge of .NET programming and database systems to develop modern cloud-native applications and API-based software solutions. Students design, develop, deploy, secure, monitor, and consume web APIs while applying cloud computing principles, platform-as-a-service (PaaS), containerization, container orchestration, serverless computing, and distributed application architectures. Using Amazon Web Services (AWS), students gain practical experience with cloud infrastructure, identity and access management, storage services, relational and NoSQL databases, API management, serverless application development, and cloud deployment strategies. The course emphasizes responsible AI-assisted development practices, enabling students to use AI tools to support application design, API development, cloud configuration, debugging, testing, documentation, deployment, and performance optimization while applying critical evaluation, human oversight, security, reliability, and professional judgment. Through hands-on laboratories and software development projects, students build scalable, secure, resilient, and cloud-ready applications that reflect current enterprise software engineering practices.
