| Description | This lecture course will survey the history of world art from the Eighteenth century to today. The history of art will continue to be examined thematically in terms of spirituality, the self, the city and nature. This course will include the invention, development and consequent influences of photography, as well as film, video, installation and performance art. A variety of delivery techniques including visits to museums and galleries, lectures, in-class discussions, research involving text and the Internet, and instruction on writing about art, will be used. |
