Description	This course focuses on the complex subject area of contracts and laws relating to the construction industry. Students will gain an understanding of: Basics of the Canadian legal system Principles of contract, tort, labour and employment laws Federal, provincial and municipal legal, zoning and building requirements Construction management related contractual relationships Industry standard construction management contract forms Industry standard trade contractor agreement forms Impact of the authorities having jurisdiction over construction management Legal risks associated with managing a construction projects Dispute resolution methods The course is delivered using materials developed for the construction industry by the Canadian Construction Documents Committee (CCDC).
