| Description | In the Motion Controls and Industrial Networking course, students will learn the basics of AC/DC motors, single and three phase motors; with respect to the principles, characteristics and construction. Students will also learn the characteristics and controls of stepper motors, variable frequency drives and servomotors. Students will be able to identify a network communication system with respect to a building automation system. This course is offered to the student of Energy Systems Engineering students. It covers the basics of DC motors, AC motors, single and three phases; the principles, characteristics and construction of such motors. Stepper motors, characteristics and controls.
