Description	This 240-hour course provides an opportunity for the RN perioperative student to integrate the theory and principles of practice from NP411 & NP412 into the consolidation of complex skills applicable to perioperative RN nursing practice. Under the guidance of a perioperative nursing staff preceptor, the RN perioperative student will focus on the roles of both circulating and scrub nurse in a clinical setting. Emphasis is placed on the delivery of safe, individualized patient focused care and the development of communication skills within a multi-disciplinary team. Centennial College faculty also facilitate the student’s clinical practicum experience.
